Churchill Medical NewsFalls and Fracture ClinicsFollowing the Royal College of Surgeons Press Release in November 2007, on the subject of Falls and Osteoporotic Fracture Risk, Churchill Medical has been successful in receiving a number of orders for pDXA scanners to be installed in Fracture Clinics. The DTX-200 gives an excellent estimation of overall fracture risk with 90% sensitivity and 90% specificity when compared with axial systems. This greatly reduces the number of patients who need to be referred for spine and hip investigations. Con-Trex system installedChurchill Medical has recently installed a Con-Trex MultiJoint system at the School of Sports & Exercise Sciences at Loughborough University. The Con-Trex MJ is noted for its ability to achieve high torque levels at high speeds, which cannot be matched by any competitive system. A new Ballistic Mode is now supplied which assists subjects in reaching high speeds early in the range of motion.
